Old kiln

I just turned off my kiln. It has been fired 1340 times. Built in 1974. Propane, catenary arch. See an older version in Rhodes “Kiln Book”
I have discovered the way to get a perfectly even firing.
Use only one set of cones.

    Chuck Hindes once told me a sure fire way to get the last cone to drop every single time: at the height of the firing, stick a metal rod in there and gently push it over…
